Member at Large, Suzette Peterson

Ms. Suzette Catalon Peterson is a Member at Large on WOMEN’s Board of Directors of WOMEN. She is known throughout the San Gabriel Valley and beyond for her versatile web design services and her generous volunteer work in the community. Born in the Philippines and raised in the Los Angeles area, she earned a B.A. in English and taught high school after graduating from college. An entrepreneur at heart, however, Ms. Peterson soon realized that her passion in life was to launch her own business and provide community service to people in need.
She has owned and operated her own web development company, AP Computer Learning Time, for the past 14 years. As a web developer with an international clientele, Ms. Peterson has created numerous websites for several companies in the manufacturing industry. She has received several awards for website development, and earned Merit Awards from Los Angeles County,

Ms. Peterson was a Soroptimist for many years until her batlle with lupus kept her from participating. Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization renowned for its programs that foster social and economic empowerment of women and girls worldwide. Ms. Peterson facilitated a lupus support group through Foothill Presbyterian Hospital for many years. She currently works closely with multiple organizations, including the East San Gabriel Valley Coalition for the Homeless. She has administered the websites of multiple nonprofit organizations such as YWCA, Loma Linda University Medical Auxiliary, Bergum Foundation, Healthy Azusa, and Make a Senior Smile. As a member of WOMEN’s board, Ms. Peterson welcomes the opportunity to use her web development skills, to assist members of WOMEN in enhance their online presence. Her hobbies include traveling, playing competitive Scrabble, and camping. Ms. Peterson’s favorite quote is a Chinese Proverb: “Happiness is someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.”
