Pat Serio

President Patricia “Pat” Serio

Ms. Paticia “Pat” Serio is a co-founder of WOMEN and the President of WOMEN’s Board of Directors. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, she studied accounting in college and eventually moved to California. Today, Ms. Serio is highly respected for her trailblazing efforts as one of the first women in Southern California to become an executive manager in the manufacturing sector. Prior to retiring, she served as an administrator and president of her own manufacturing company, Serco Mold, Inc., for more than 40 years. Serco Mold, Inc., located in LaVerne, CA, is an injection molding-plastics company that makes hand held cases. Ms. Serio has hands-on experience in various areas of manufacturing, including tooling, production, shipping, inventory, design, and quality control. Her extensive knowledge of all areas of operations in her company is one of the keys to the long-term success of Serco Mold.
Active in community affairs, Ms. Serio previously served for six years on the Board of Covenant House in Hollywood. She is currently on the Board of several local hospitals, including Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora, and Inter-Community Hospital in Covina. Ms. Serio is also involved in the Covina Rotary Club where she is a sponsor of Field of Valor, a campaign to raise funds to assist local Veterans and the families of deployed military. Ms. Serio is a founding member and the fourth club president of the Covina Rotary Club.

In 2010 Ms. Serio was the recipient of a YWCA Women of Achievement Award. She helped to establish WOMEN as an educational platform for professional women with first-hand knowledge of the manufacturing industry in order to mentor other women in business. Ms. Serio also sponsors a healthcare trust for employers in manufacturing, a service that is available to companies that join WOMEN. She is an duplicate bridge player and golfer.
