Our online community allows women from diverse areas of manufacturing to network through our Community Bulletin Board. Women have the opportunity to share their experiences with their peers and to voice any concerns, such as ways to overcome feeling isolated in what was once a man’s workplace.

Mentoring is crucial for professional development and a gateway to economic empowerment. The knowledge gained from professional and social interactions is an important stepping stone to career advancement. Manufacturing mentors understand the personal and professional tools needed for peak performance in the workplace. Experienced mentors can provide valuable insights that may help women at all levels of manufacturing balance work and family responsibilities. WOMEN provides links and other information on mentoring opportunities for women — both mentors and mentees — in manufacturing.

WOMEN’s member organizations and their employees have access to key information on current trends in manufacturing employment, career development strategies, and training programs. Career enhancement, including focused education, is essential for women in manufacturing. We post updates on introductory, intermediate, and advanced skills training that may enhance job perform, increase job satisfaction, and help prepare women for merit-based salary increases. We also post employment opportunities on our Job Board.
