Record numbers of women are taking up careers in science and engineering. Over the past two decades, the percentage of women in these male-dominated fields has more than doubled, from 12% to 25%, according to the National Science Foundation. Still, this shift is not enough to fill the growing need for engineering and manufacturing professionals.
